Gamechanger Award:  In 2025 Alison was nominated by Dr. Tes Mehring, Alison's Allies team member since 2010, and selected by for the 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙆𝘾 𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 recognition by the 𝙆𝘾 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 & 𝙆𝘾 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨/𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙. This recognition honors gamechangers in KC community blazing the trail for all people, inspiring bold ambition, enriching community, & enacting change through intentional action.  The recognition was given on Sept. 13th at a KC Current Game.  An additional recognition for all Blue KC Gamechangers Sat., Oct. 11th. Alison said, "I am humbled by the recognition and grateful to KC Current and BlueKC. This is not an award for me personally, but for everyone who has been an Alison’s Allies team member, donor, donor incentive providers, walk volunteer, Harlan C. Parker t-shirt sponsor since 2010, and KU staff members and researchers.  It is a team effort! Together we are making a difference!"
